CAMPEONATO CARIOCA

In 2016, I created the new logotype for the Rio de Janeiro state soccer championship (Campeonato Carioca), which has Flamengo, Vasco, Fluminense and Botafogo as the largest participating clubs. The logo was used during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The curves of the logo represent the Copacabana Boardwalk and convey the idea of the ball’s movement. The warm colors of the first wave represent the climate of Rio de Janeiro, while the blue and green of the other waves represent the nature of the state: the sea, rivers, lagoons, forests, hills, etc.
